"Sam! Wow, I didn't expect to see you here!" Veronica was running from across the street, screaming like a madman.
"What in the-" Sam didn't expect it to go like this. When this plan was initially discussed, he specifically asked Veronica to be nonchalant about it. However, when the plan came to action, it didn't exactly go that way. Although it was not like he could blame her alone. After all, he did a mess of a job in trying to slow their pace down without Ashley noticing as well. It was just that both of them were bad actors.
"So, you were waiting for-" Before Ashley had the chance to complete her sentence, Veronica slipped on the road and fell down flat into the ground.
"Fuck." Seeing how she fell down, Sam didn't hesitate as he trotted over to her and helped her up. "Why the hell did you run like that? I mean, look at what you did to yourself." He sighed.
