"Ha, no kidding. I'm gonna miss this place and all the fun that I had over here." Sam gave out a really deep sigh as he stared at the outskirts through the window of the train.
"I mean, it's understandable. You got paid even though the fact that you were not my fiance was revealed. It's a massive victory for you, if anything." Ashley shrugged as she said that.
"Well, revealing that fact was your choice, not mine. And didn't it improve your relationship with your parents? You really shouldn't be blaming me for the things you should be thanking me for instead." Sam replied.
"Ah, well. Who knows! Maybe our relationship would've gotten better even if you didn't enter the picture." Ashley scoffed as she said that.
"Hmm, I guess that's true. But what about your relatives? All of them are in quite the speaking terms with you now, right? Would it have been the same if not for me?" Sam asked with a smug smile on his face.
