Inside the room, dimly lit. A man unnoticed before was talking, his voice rough. With dead pair of eyes, he stared at the two officers in the room.
"His Second Coming is nigh." The runner that has collapsed before, then supposedly missing was running towards the window.
*crash*!
As the glass windows were broken to pieces, the runner was dropping a few stories below.
"Smoke! Get him! I'll call backup!" Steven urged in a hurry.
Black smokes were covering Breath as he jumped down to chase the runner.
"We need a cleaner! East Mid hospital, outside to the west! A suspect wearing net diving suits were running down! Get him alive!" Steven called for backup.
*beep*, *beep, click.* "Hey Steve, it's me. He's outside the area now. I'll go take a look from the cams along the streets. Give me permission to access the cams in the whole neighborhood." It was Arjun speaking on Steven's phone.
"Granted. Thank you, I'm counting on you."
"Now, how the hell were we supposed to report this?" Steven said as he looked at the pile of flesh that was once alive.
The collateral damage the hospital room was suffering, will also further damage his paycheck.
"Maybe I should start taking those too."

Ladies Bathroom, at the floor near the reception.
A lady wearing all black was cleaning her face on the sink. Blood was continuously running on her nose. No matter how much she rinsed it with water, still her nose ran red.
On the mirror, she saw a vague figure standing behind her, it's head lowered. It seemed to have waited for her. Still, Yeri paid it no mind.
"Heh, it's still better than a day training with dad." Yeri said to herself, minding her own business.
*crash*. While her cleansing of the nasal area was proceeding, Yeri heard a loud crash from above. Looking out the window, with tissues blocking both of her nostrils, Yeri noticed a man dropping down from upstairs.
"That's, the runner from before. No, no more." Yeri said as she looked below.
Not long after, a bundle of smoke was descending from above. A man, bald, was riding on top. The smoke seemed to dampen the fall of the bald man.
"They've gone far below." The window was blocking her view of the people dropping down.
"Scheise!" She cursed as she ran out.
Running to a hospital staff, She asked in a hurry.
"Where's the emergency stairs! I need to go to the lower tier!"
Startled, the staff didn't utter a single word. Yet, he still pointed at a red door a few meters down the hall. Then he fainted.
Yeri ran, she knew how she forgot to put on her mask and gag. But she kept running to the stairs leading down the lower tier.
The lower tier was connected to the lowest flyovers lane. Thus, it also led to a different building function that's built before the hospital above.
There were multiple sets of stairs that led below the hospital level. If one were to step down one step at a time, it would take forever to reach the lower tier.
"Well, here goes nothing!"
Running for time, Yeri jumped down into the space between the stairs. With a low hum, she slowed down her fall by 2 meters per second.
"Shoot!" Impatient, she launched herself to drop faster.

Dropping down outside the building towards the west was, disastrous. As it was leading to a market area between the building blocks.
What's better than a debris dropping from above, hitting the bustling market below?
Yes, a body splattered by hitting concrete, a fire works of flesh was the least the people down below needed right now. At least, that was what Breath thought, while chasing the free falling guy leading below him.
As if printing black threads on thin air. Breath proceeds to latch them onto the dropping runner below him.
"What the hell are you trying to accomplish! Are you one of them?!" Breath asked as he reined the runner closer.
"Noo. Ahahahah, you won't get it. Ahahahahhahahhhh!" The runner, with empty eyes only answered in a forced laughter.
As he was about to break the fall with his usual smokes. A bullet was shot.
Two bodies being tied by black threads were dropped on the street rife with peddlers and pedestrians.
What was supposed to happen afterwards were a splutter of blood, flesh, and screams. But no, they simply fell with a simple thud. Much like a bag being dropped from one's hand.
"Fuck! Got a sniper here! Arjun, scan the area!" Breath said while talking to no one.
*bzzt*.
"Found none! I'll scan the nearby buildings. Noi is heading your way as we speak." A small sound was heard on the microphone built in on Breath's mask.
The runner falling with him was fine. And the only silver lining here was that the runner was no more conscious.
The sight of a couple men falling from above didn't seem to bother the pedestrians.
Step, step. As he was scanning the area, a few men were closing in at him calmly from both side of the street.
Amid the bustling street lit on by neon lights the colour of blue, yellow, and orange. One man with a body unmoving was staying motionless, with a few people also unmoving unlike the crowd browsing the street vendors.
A bundle, quite long, with a hole on the tip was being pointed at Breath's head. Another was also pointed from the opposing side.
"He's still alive. Harder than we thought." A man draped in camo suits was talking.
"He's an A-class for a reason. A shorty like him wouldn't survive shits if not for his power." A man with apron and t-shirt added.
"Don't move, it's not just us here." The camo man said.
Breath just sat there, his hands laid on his lap. As if on meditation, he asked those having him encircled.
"You are targeting me? Why the need to draw me here?"
The camo wearing man looked at his colleagues, before answering.
"Nah, I'm just bored. Then looked at your shiny head. Decided to take my shot at ya."
"Heard you've been sniffing around. Happened to be on my turf, so I just got a call."
"No hard feelings, ok? You'll become a small bonus to share among us." The camo man pointed the bundle to Breath's forehead.
Breath, just sat there. But then, he took a deep breath loud enough to make a sound effect akin to an iconic figure.
"Try it, shoot."
Four bundles of long frame was pointed at him, either near of far. Four fingers were pulling the trigger.
*BANG! BANG,* *BANG!*
Sparks of fire were supposed to be lit from the tips of those bundles. However, it was lit near the four hands firing them. With it, explosions occurred affecting the four.
Screams were uttered by the crowd. A sudden explosion was heard amid the street they strolled.
Not just from the crowd. The four men holding long packages also screamed. No, one of them didn't. More like, unable to.
"Why do you have to fire all at the same time, though. Well, noobs. Arjun, found my shooter from before?" Breath said.
"*bzzt*, no I haven't. Look, more people are coming at your locations. Please, I advise you to relocate yourself. Go up on the hollow walls to your 7 o'clock. Be shiny." Arjun said as he seemed to have left somewhere.
"Well, that's just great. Fine, come with me, boys." Breath said as he latched more black threads to the four assailants.
With a few people attached to him by black rope. He flew up, heading to the place Arjun mentioned before.
---
*BANG! Bang, bang!*
Bullets were already fired when Yeri finally managed to catch up. She thought she was too late, her senior was hurt right in front of her. But then, Breath came out unscathed. Her senior, simply tied the four firing guns earlier to himself, then flew to a building nearby.
"Well, I guess I'm unneeded here." Yeri said as she wore her mouth covers.
Amid the crowds, screaming and confused. A figure right beside her spoke amidst the loud noise.
"No, miss. Your, presence was never unwanted, nor unneeded. We got you here, by the help of our friends over there."
An old man, with a crooked cane and leather hat told Yeri as he was still seated on the pedestal. He rose from his seat with the help of his crooked cane. Then proceeded to point it at her.
"So you're Sayyea, you got us good yesterday. But not now, you're coming with us."
"Stay still. Well, as far as I recall, you're not bullet proof. What, wanna test it?"
Men with trench coats were pointing long bundles at her. It was akin to a girl being surrounded by large, dark men.
"No, nooo, I get it. I'll come with you, alright? Can I ask you a question first, though?" Sayyea said as she held her stomach.
She looked around at the old man and the men wearing coats that had her encircled. Forming half moons with her eyes.
"You got some grubs? I'm kinda starving. That, is also my condition of cooperation." Sayyea said confidently.
"I know, my dad warned me about you guys. Strange men offering candy to a girl like me? Well, I hope he's right."
A man among those that have Sayyea surrounded can't help but swallow his own saliva.
