Jessica's POV
Today is a big day. We've been training for the past few days just for today. Everyone's busy getting ready for the big day as we're going to leave in an hour to attack the headquarters of American mafia and wipe them out once and for all.
I took out my black cargo pants and comfy t-shirt and dressed in all black. I looked at myself again before pulling the cap down, wearing the black mask and climbed down the stairs where people were waiting for me, already in their dresses and ready.
I saw Luke talking to some of the members who were to take part in the mission and we all went out to get in our respective vans and cars to get to the American headquarter. Apparently, William Johnson has moved to France after our last attack in America.
Little does he know he walked to his grave on his own. It made it a whole lot easier for all of us and we got to our vehicles which were loaded with equipment and weapons ready for us. Even though we'd checked everything, we checked our weapons and the equipment in the van for the last time and drove to William's refuge after everything was over.
I would be lying if I said I was calm with the whole ordeal. Honestly, I was getting cold feet but at the same time, thinking how important this mission is to all of us, I had this sense of pride and feeling to succeed in the mission.
William fled from the USA and was taking shelter behind hundreds of guards and a small cottage near the hotel which was bustling with people. The security wasn't that hard to crack and it only took merely 45seconds for us to barge inside.
After we reached a small cottage where Will was hiding, all of us were ready with our weapons and were in a position to get out of the cars and get the mission completed. I was checking my rifle one last time before I looked at Luke who was also examining his weapon.
The plan was to sneak attack Will. The first team led by Luke will go inside from the west wing and my target was to deal with William Johnson on my own who's most likely to be in his room at this time according to our spies.
I nodded my head at Luke and he returned the gesture before smiling and securing his mask to hide his face. He then opened the door to the van and disappeared out of our sight along with his team members.
My team have already left their positions as snipers hiding in different angles from nearby buildings to shoot if necessary. I checked my watch and I had to leave three minutes after the first team had left to get rid of the bodyguards.
When the clock hit 2 minutes and 33seconds, I yanked the door open and got to the rooftop of the building where some of the team members from team 1 shielded me. The building was quiet as I climbed the stairs.
When I got to the rooftop, I checked the knot on my waist one last time before handing it and went down to the room where Will was supposed to stay. As I was about to fly down, the building went crazy with gunshots and I only thought of getting this mission completed by killing William Johnson.
But at the far corner of my mind, I prayed for Luke's safety. I prayed that he would stay out of this shit alive so that I could keep hating him and bickering with each other every single day.
I broke the window and went inside as fast as i could and aimed my gun around but there was no one in sight. I looked around the whole room but no one was in it. I stepped down from the window sill and as I was about to take another step, the room went crazy as bullets were fired here and there.
As quickly as I could, I took shelter under the desk which was right infront of me and waited till the firing stopped. When it stopped, a few seconds later, the door to the room opened and someone walked inside.
By the noise of the sound, I could tell there were dozens of them. I tucked my pistol away and got the rifle ready when my in-ear-piece turned on and one of the snipers whispered in my ear.
"Will entered the office with around twelve bodyguards. We are getting ready to shoot." One of the snipers whispered and I waited patiently under the desk but the sound of the clicking of heels came to a stop soon after.
"Well, well, well. I wonder where's our little princess is hiding. I should have got rid of all the furniture so that it could have given much more open space for our princess's visit." William's sarcastic voice rang throughout the room.
"Let's stop hiding, princess. Come out." Will continued taunting when several thuds were heard and I took it as my chance to get out of the desk and shoot the rest of the bodyguards away before Will started firing at me.
I ducked under the desk as continuous gunshots were heard. I was waiting for the right time to get out of the desk and attack him when the door of the room slammed open and violent firing went off.
Soon, the place quieted down but I was still on my guard when Luke's worried voice called out fo me.
"Jess?"
I got out of the hiding spot and went to hug Luke. I don't know what's gotten to me but hearing his voice and looking at him standing infront of me, alive and well, got me so much happier than it really should have.
