Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Tyler's POV

We both got onto our bikes and I led the way to the kingdom. It was almost midnight and there weren't any vehicles on the way, which made it easier for us to get to the castle. I looked behind me to check if Rose was following me when I couldn't feel her behind me. I stopped in my tracks and took my helmet off. Where the hell did, she disappear to? Her bike stood in the middle of the road but she was nowhere in sight.

"Rose?" I called out for her but there wasn't any response. Did she run away? Was I that scary?

"ROSE?" I called out louder and walked towards her bike. I heard some shuffling a few meters away and I slowly approached but sprinted towards her when I saw Rose groaning in pain, clutching her stomach.

"Rose? What's wrong?" she was clutching her stomach like her life depended on it. "Ro-" I couldn't go near or complete my sentence because she screamed, an aureate light blinding my vision. I shielded my eyes from the dazzling light to protect my eyes out of instinct. I could feel the land beneath me shaking as an earthquake took place.

I then heard Rose scream in agony but I couldn't do anything because the light was too blinding for me to see or do anything. A few minutes later, after lowering my arm, I waited and blinked rapidly for my eyes to adjust to the surrounding.

Infront of me lied a barely conscious white wolf on the ground. I approached it slowly and I knelt down to face it. I went to her mind since she couldn't talk to me from the state, she was in.

"Hey. You alright?" "Tyler?" "Yeah?" "How can you talk to me? How am I able to talk to you?" "Haven't you read enough werewolf books to know what it's called? It's called mind-link."

"I didn't know these things exist!" She exclaimed and started sobbing. I waited for her to calm down, patting and rubbing her back.

"Rose?" "Yes?" she answered, sniffling and raising her head to look at me with her tear-stained golden eyes that made me hold my breath. There was something special about her eyes that made me forget about my surroundings and the things that were happening.

"Now listen to me. You have to trust your wolf and ask her to give your body back. Just don't fight and argue with her." "My wolf? Who? Who am I supposed to ask-" She stopped thinking when a voice interrupted her.

"That would be me. Hello." Rose frowned when a strange voice spoke in her head and a smile appeared on my face, surprisingly finding the situation cute.

"Tyler, I don't understand. What do you mean I will have to trust my wolf? There is no wolf or whatsoever. By the way, what's happening to me? How can we talk in my head? Doesn't mind-link sort of stuff work between werewolves? I am not one, so how are you talking to me? Am I dreaming?" She kept rambling on and on and I forgot the questions she asked as she kept bombarding me with questions.

"Woah, woah. Easy there. One question at a time but before that, let's get you out of this state." "What state?" It sounded like she didn't know what was going on so I pointed at her body and she looked down at herself.

"Please tell me I am wearing some sort of a costume." Her voice shook as if she couldn't believe what was infront of her as she raised her tiny, cute paws.

I just shrugged because I had no idea what to tell her at this moment since she is the least person that I've expected to be a werewolf. Besides, the fact that her parents never told her about her true identity made me uneasy.

Most of the werewolves were happy and proud of what they were. None of them felt like they were some sort of trash for being a different species than the majority of animals occupying earth; humans.

I was trying to understand what was going on when Rose started to shine and golden light started to surround her. This time, it wasn't as blinding as before but it surely hurt my eyes at its brightness. Rose was a foot or two above the ground, floating as golden light surrounded her. The wolf turned to human and soon after, the light faded and Rose lay on the ground, asleep.

The way she transformed made me speechless at how gentle, elegant and stunning she looked. When we morph, it isn't a very pleasant thing to watch as our bones crack with terrifying sound but the way Rose shifted, it was something I've never seen before and have never heard of. I was standing there utterly speechless when my wolf suggested I carry her away from the cold ground.

I instantly bent down and scooped her up in my arms as I realized she had fallen asleep. I mind linked one of my servants to drive Rose's bike back to the castle as I rode away.

Guards and maids greeted me as I entered the palace and I walked to my bedroom after acknowledging them. My personal maid, Marthana, followed me to the room and I asked her to take good care of Rose. After I laid Rose down on my bed and covered her with my duvet, I walked to my bathroom to take a hot, steamy shower.

After taking a relaxing bath, I came out of the bathroom to find Rose sleeping like a baby, in a new pjs, clutching my pillow like a little baby would. I smiled and went to my walk-in closet to get changed and I went to the next room with my laptop.

I found a bed with pillows and blankets. I smiled and thanked Marthana through the link and laid down on it. I opened my laptop and went through some files that needed my approval. I soon smelled my favorite tea and whipped my head to see a cup of tea in the night stand.

"Thank you so much Marthana. You know me the best!" I mind-linked her.

"You're very welcome your highness. I figured you would need one. You looked so tired. Don't overwork and sleep early, your majesty. And don't worry about your friend. I will take good care of her." "Thank you. Good night." I closed the mind link and finished reading the last file that was sent to me via email.
