Chereads / The Risks of Love / Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

As I entered, I could hear someone sobbing with three figures turning their backs to me. There was a nurse, a man and a woman. The man looked pretty tall and I could say he was in his mid-fifties by the color of his greyish hair. Next to him stood a lady in a very revealing dress. Maybe she is the daughter of the man standing next to her.

I rolled my eyes when an annoying voice whined about how some bitch called Rosalind did these shits to her.

"Well, isn't it nice to hear you compliment me, Stacy?" I said as I leaned over the wall and watched everyone turn their heads towards me.

Oops, I've made a mistake. The lady was much older than I've expected. Looking at her features, I could tell she was Stacy's mom but her dress on the other hand made her look like... Stacy's sister.

I am not sure if it's a good thing that she was willing to dress that way to look younger but to me, it made her look like a whore. Where would have Stacy got her genes from?

I walked towards the bed where Stacy was lying and stared at the state, she was in. Her make-up was a total mess, if it weren't for her annoying voice, I wouldn't have recognized who she was.

"What are you doing here, bitch?!" "Looks like I do wonders when it comes to crying babies. Look, she stopped crying and whine about her miserable life the moment she saw me." Stacy was fuming with anger and I enjoyed every second of it.

"Miss Taylor, what is the meaning of this? Don't you think my daughter deserves an apology after what she has gone through?" I barely managed to control myself from bursting out in laughter as Stacy's father voiced his thoughts.

"Oh, so you asked for my presence here to apologize to someone who created this mess and disaster to herself?" I said, crossing my arms.

"Shut up! We don't have time to listen to your poor excuse, so apologize. Maybe then we can consider letting you off the hook." Stacy's mom sneered at me, making me roll my eyes.

"It's my first encounter with you guys but it's really fascinating to see that you guys know so much about me. I am the one who was called here to fucking apologize for the thing I haven't done, wasting my time and you're telling me you haven't got time. So, did you visit this school to just ask a teenager to apologize in order to fill the ego you couldn't satisfy in your job? Looks like it's only a waste of my time dealing with people like you." I huffed out in annoyance and continued.

"I always wondered where Stacy had gotten her stupid and slutty genes from but looks like apple doesn't fall far from its tree. I hope not to see you guys again." I spat and turned around to walk out.

"Miss Taylor, I heard that you slapped Stacy and you're the cause of the state she is in. I think it's enough reason to put you under detention." Miss Anderson, the nurse, spoke as I was about to walk out.

"Oh, well no problem. Just detention for a day, right? No big deal. But I think Stacy will have to suffer a bit of her time in jail for sexual harassment. I was planning to go blind eye on the matter but it looks like she is digging her own grave as usual." I glared at the nurse and everyone and pocketed my phone out to call the police.

"What do you mean?" Stacy's sperm doner asked his voice shaking with a bit of fear. "What the hell do you fucking mean, bitch?!" Stacy and her mom yelled as I was about to call, making me lock the screen and put some sense to stupid people infront of me.

"Oh, don't you remember? You've been harassing my poor best friend for weeks; we were kind enough not to report and put some sense into that thick skull of yours and now, you're repaying us by giving us more trouble. I really appreciate it, Mr. and Mrs. White." They turned their heads to Stacy as if demanding some sort of explanation from her.

"I think you need to have some family talk or family time. You guys better know your daughter enough before you go to any conclusion, don't you think? I will leave you guys on your own but if you ever change your mind, just give me a call. I will be glad to report the case to the police." I stomped out of the infirmary, not wanting to deal with idiots any longer.

"Holy freaking mother of-" I screamed when I saw a figure standing just outside the infirmary. I calmed my racing heart when I saw Tyler leaning there with his arms crossed.

"I don't mind hearing you complete that sentence but I really love the fact you were so awesome back there." He hoisted himself up from the wall and walked beside me.

"It's a pity you just realized how cool your best friend is. I've always been a cool bestie." I winked as we walked out of school.

"How did it go in the principal's office?" I asked as I remembered why he was out here with me.

"Fine. He was kind enough to let me off the hook this time as I am new." He shrugged and my tense shoulders relaxed upon hearing it.

"So, I was worried about nothing, huh?" I nudged his arm slightly, making him chuckle and pat my head.

"Told ya, I could take care of the matters on my own." Just as he finished his sentence, we could hear running footsteps accompanied by someone gasping for air as they approached us.

"Miss Taylor, I think there was a slight misunderstanding back there. I don't think you owe us any apology or whatsoever so why don't we just forget everything that ever happened?" Mr. White said as his wife was catching her breath next to him.

"What do you think? It's all upto you." I said as I turned to look at Tyler. After all, Tyler was the one who suffered more than anyone.

"I can let this matter go if your daughter apologizes to Miss Taylor for defaming her. She has been such a pain in the ass since she couldn't even understand basic sentences. So, apologizing to both of us, that is. And most importantly, staying out of our eyesight." Tyler concluded and I was quite satisfied with his statement.

"Of course. No problem. Stacy is so lucky to have people like you who are so understanding as her friend." Mrs. White almost purred making me almost want to puke.

"We aren't her friends, for your information. Friends don't harass each other, do they?" I said and they both just nodded, as if not pleased with me stating facts.

"You know what? I don't want to face your daughter so she can post her apology post on social media and hope we never see each other again, Mr. and Mrs. White." I could hear Stacy's mom mutter a sentence under her breath and if I heard her correctly, she said 'The feeling's mutual'.

"We will get going then. We have our classes to attend." And just like that, we walked inside the school, roaming around a few minutes since the class will be over soon.

As expected, the bell rang as we were walking and a whole bunch of students stormed out from their boring classes, filling the hallways with chatter and whispers. I and Tyler stood infront of our lockers, waiting for our friends to be free from their annoying teachers.

"What are you upto tonight?" Tyler asked as he leaned on his locker, next to mine. I just sighed and leaned on my locker too.

"Nothing much, vegging out like usual maybe. Why? Are you gonna ask me out on a date or something? "I finished it off with a smirk. After the whole damn drama, I do need to get my mind off stuff. It's been a really exhausting day; both physically and mentally.

"Will you go out with me if I do?" He turned towards me and I smiled. "I might take it into consideration if you show me a bit of your sincerity and desperation. Afterall, it would be a waste of my time to go out with a person who isn't intended and serious about taking me out, right?"

"True." "Text me the address." I said and walked away when I saw Jess walk towards me. Diego and others weren't that far off from where we were standing so there was no need worrying about leaving him alone in the hallway.

"Did you put some senses to that bitch? I was speechless when Miss Anderson fucking asked your presence near that slut." Jessica was fuming and she started to curse her as we made our way to her locker then to our house.

"Hey, drink this and calm down. Your best friend isn't that weak to let cheerleaders like Stacy have her way around. Chillax." I said as I passed her the drink, I just bought it for her.

"Right! You're my bestie after all. So? Time for some gossip, don't you think?" she said as she took a deep breath and continued to walk out of the school. On the way, I managed to exaggerate on how I got to embarrass Stacy and her parents and Jessica listened intently like she always did.

The friends I've met are just as amazing and I've started to think of them as my family but who would have known meeting them would have changed my whole life?
