Chapter 12 - Accompany The Princess

"What do you feel?"

Freya raised her hand, "just a small wound on my palm."

"Don't worry, sir. I have treated Princess Freya with some herbs to prevent infection," said a healer as he walked into the room.

"Did the robbers' knives contain some kind of poison?" Zuko asked.

The healer nodded his head and said, "That's right sir, if there is a person who is famous for his knife, then he will be infected until his life cannot be saved."

"Good grief sir, are you hurt too?" exclaimed the healer who was shocked by the wound on Zuko's hand.

Even though Zuko didn't feel anything at all, he was already immune to all kinds of poisons that hit him. "It's okay uncle, it's just a small wound."

"But it's very dangerous sir, if left for a long time it will not be good for your health," said the healer as he walked out of the place to take potion medicine.

"Don't worry uncle, I'm fine," he shouted, looking at the healer about to take the antidote.

Zuko looked at Freya who was lying weakly. "Does your wound still hurt?"

"Yes," replied Freya.

"I really can't take care of you, I'm such a fool," he grumbled.

"It's not your fault. But it's my own fault for not listening to your words, at that time I was very worried about my father," said Freya quietly.

Zuko looked at the face of the girl in front of him, "Didn't I say that the emperor would go home with Patih Kerta later.

"I'm sorry for always bothering you," said Freya with a face like guilt.

"Don't think about it anymore. Now just answer why you were being chased by a herd of robbers?"

"Just then out of nowhere, suddenly a group of horsemen followed and as I drove, he followed me more and more," replied Freya.

Zuko looked at Freya warmly, her face was so beautiful when she was sleeping on the bed, her eyes were clear even though her face was centered.

"Next time you want to get out of here, just tell me so I can take care of you."

"But I'm awkward to tell you, Zuko. We've only known each other for a few days."

"Think of me as your sister," Zuko smiled and expressed a friendly expression.

Freya furrowed her brows feeling always protected by someone in front of her, she was friendly and kind. His face smiled calmly at those words.

"Thanks Zuko, I feel at ease."

"Degg," Zuko felt an affection radiate from the two of them, he looked at Freya's beautiful face with a sweet smile.

"Of course because it is my duty as a knight."

There is a sense of affection and pity for Freya, she is a beautiful and kind girl. Her face will really make anyone get carried away when they see her smile.

Freya tried to get up from her slumber.

"Where was the healer uncle?"

"I don't know either, but he said he was going to take some medicine."

Does your wound still hurt? I'm afraid if that

infected you," Freya asked.

"It's okay. I'm used to getting injured like this, it will heal in a while."

Freya wrinkled her forehead and pouted. "But it's dangerous. Hurry up and ask the healer uncle for medicine, before the wound becomes infected."

He smiled at the princess's words. "Do you care about me? Just say it if you care and love me."

"That sucks," said Freya with an embarrassed face.

"Do you hate me? Just answer my question, do you hate me or love me?" Zuko said jokingly so as not to be too tense.

"Never mind talking like that again, I'm going to sleep first," Freya lay back down on the

his bed thinking about something.

In Freya's room it was really very warm with the yellow light, very beautiful and comfortable.

At that time Zuko's wound was getting dry, he planned to take back the horse stolen by the robbers earlier. Even though it's almost late at night.

He looked at Freya, his hands wanted to touch and caress the girl's hair, but he didn't dare, because at that time there were only the two of them, afraid that if they touched each other, they would be slanderous.

"Freya, are you asleep?"

"No, actually I really want to listen to fairy tales, but unfortunately no one tells," said Freya with her eyes closed like half asleep.

Zuko smiled hearing that. He reached for a book that was on the shelf, that book inscribed with a story about the history of a unique continent.

"Do you want me to read you a story?"

"Yes,"

Zuko started to open the first page, a book full of black handwriting with books almost light brown in color.

He began to read the story, occasionally looking at Freya's face in front of him who had closed his eyes fast asleep. Her face still looks beautiful even when she's asleep.

After seeing Freya really asleep, he then put the storybook back on the wooden shelf nearby.

Because that night Freya was asleep, she got up from her seat. "I will never let people who have hurt you feel happy, because I really love you," Zuko whispered with a smile and walked slowly to Freya's death.

"Master Zuko. Is Princess Freya asleep yet?" asked a waiter who suddenly came with a tray contains food and drink.

"Yes. Did Freya not eat earlier?"

The waiter shook his head. "The healer said earlier, Princess Freya must eat before taking the medicine again, and the healer is making medicine for Mr. Zuko as well."

"Okay, just put this food on the table over there," Zuko pointed at the table in Freya's room.

"Okay sir. Mister Zuko don't forget to eat this

also."

"Yes, thank you," replied Zuko kindly.

He resumed walking out to avenge the robbers who had almost harmed Freya. When passing in front of his room, he was actually about to take a bow, but because there were several people who passed by him. In the end he left with nothing.

When it was midnight, the royal courtyard was almost completely deserted and there were only a few guards in front of the gate.

"Mr. Zuko. Where are you going?" asked a guard wearing a soldier's attire.

At that time, Zuko walked past the soldiers guarding the gate without looking back and ignoring a question from one of the soldiers.

When he walked out a few meters from the gate, two soldiers followed him in surprise.

"Mr. Zuko. Where are you going?"

Zuko realized, he stopped and looked at the two soldiers behind him. "I just want to go out for a while, you guys don't follow."

The two soldiers looked at each other, then walked over, "but isn't it already too late? It's better if the two of us accompany you."

"No need, uncle. Because this is very dangerous," Zuko unconsciously said which made the two soldiers frown.

"Where are you going, sir? If it's really dangerous, you as a soldier must help this royal knight," said one of the soldiers as he walked closer to Zuko.

Finally Zuko said honestly, so that the two soldiers were not curious anymore. "I will beat up the robbers in the forest."
