"Tina!"
"Yes!" The instant she heard her name, Tina instantly deployed her tower shield and protected her allies from the scorching fire that passed through them.
The heat was unbearable even in their protective armor and charms. "Miyuki!"
"Binding!" Said the one in the back, producing three pieces of paper before throwing it like a knife. It flew across the place and hit the target—a living dragon with fiery scales and yellow eyes.
It stood tall, towering over them, looking down at the inferior species below.
When the paper hit the dragon, static ran through the body of the dragon, causing it to cease for a moment.
"Now!" The acting leader said. She pulled out her broadsword, which was glowing in gold, and strike the dragon with her full force.
It was obvious that the fight had been on for some time now, the wounds from the dragon and the adventurer were too obvious, after all.
"Still not enough!? Then how about this! Sacred light!" The sword in her hand grew larger and brighter than even her had trouble seeing some things. But it matters not, with her close distance, it would be impossible to miss her strike.
Slash! The metallic scales were cut like butter. Blood spewed everywhere and the dragon let out a roar. If this didn't work, then I don't know what is!
The leader gripped her sword, even more, preparing for another strike.
Bam! Their enemy finally fell after the long battle. The three could feel their legs shaking, but they couldn't afford to fall, not now. The treasures were still there!
"You did it, Rosie!" The magic user of the group, Miyuki, run out from the back and hugged their leader.
"Hahahahaha! Aren't I awesome!?" The leader, Rosie, replied.
"Yes! We can finally go back home!" Miyuki answered.
"Not until we got the treasure." The only calm member of the party, Tina, rolled her shoulder and began cracking her neck. Tina had beautiful golden hair that was tied into a bun. Her blue eyes looked so distant and her face was mature. She also wore full armor that render any weak physical attack useless.
"Ah! R-right, I almost forgot about the treasure." Miyuki said. Miyuki wore a traditional miko dress. Her long white hair crawled through her back and shoulder. She blinked once, twice, revealing her wide snake-like red eyes hidden in glasses, and a small fang on her mouth. She was also the smallest person in the group, while Tina was being the tallest.
"I'm really excited! What kind of items are we getting today?" Guhehehe~! Rosie whipped her drooling mouth. Her pink hair was tied into a twin tail, held by a cute accessory that maximized her appeal. She also had violet eyes that looked smug every time she smiles.
The members of the party called 'Ladies in red' proceed while keeping their vigilance. They were the highest-ranked adventurers who were known to complete A-rank dungeons by themselves, without the help of any guilds.
A party of S-class adventurers, what more could one ask? As they progress through the dungeon, they saw a giant piece of ice stored inside a lonely room.
"W-what the hell…" Rosie said, shivering. There was a giant knight inside.
The knight wore full armor without decoration. Its eyes were hidden by the mysterious visor. It had a shield in hand, and that shield had a symbol on it. They couldn't make it out—it was a circle with dark shades around it.
It also had a giant mace on its other hand.
"I-is that another boss?" Miyuki asked as she hid behind Tina.
"I don't think so," Rosie said. "I don't sense any hostility…" The moment she said that the ice cracked and let out a cold breeze.
"W-what!?"
"Maybe we should run!"
"Behind me!" Quickly, Tina ran over and pulled her tower shield. BAM! Bits and pieces of eyes exploded like firearms slugs. The walls and floors that got hit were crushed by the mere impact alone.
"Who are you?" Then, what followed was an absurdly low voice echoing through the helmet. "Adventurers?"
What the hell… We're f*cked. Rosie thought behind her poker face. As the leader of the party, she had the skill to sense how dangerous a being was. This time, her skill was shouting at her to run and leave her comrades as a sacrifice—but she wouldn't do that. If they die, then they would die together.
She glanced at her quivering party members and let out a faint smile. No one's here is going to run, alright!
"Ready!" She ordered. All of them were sweating bullets just facing the giant knight before them.
They didn't hope to win this battle, but they hope to die with honor.
However, as they were preparing for death, the giant knight spoke. "I think you have mistaken me for a monster."
He sheathed his weapon and placed his shield on the back. Then his hand moved to his head and pulled his helmet up.
"Wha—!" Rosie said.
"K-kya!?" Miyuki covered her gaping mouth with her hand.
"Hmph," while Tina blushed a little.
He had short ginger hair, sharp green eyes, and a beard that covered her chiseled jawline. Without a doubt, this man was a really, really fine man—they couldn't even deny it even if they wanted to. They were happy that he was not hostile, but something replaced the fear they were feeling earlier.
The knight looked at them, serious as ever, saying, "My name is Aurelius, the Grand Paladin of the Church of Light. It is my pleasure to meet you, ladies."
"W-well…" Rosie began to twirl a side of her twin tails.
"Wha-Wha-wha-wha-wha-wha—" Meanwhile, Miyuki's cheek was burning red.
"Hmph," Tina looked the other way, still blushing.
A mysterious man appeared before the three, perhaps this was the treasure that they were promised?
