The worms bared their teeth and rampaged around the battlefield. They went up and down and used their large size and weights to bulled through the soldiers.
The soldiers frantically shot at these worms, blasting them with holes. The towers and the Manual Turret installed behind the walls were numerous. And bullets continuously came from them
That let them control the worms and prevented them from attacking the ball thrower formation. If the ball thrower formation were destroyed, the enemy would advance much quicker and their gates would be breached.
That wasn't good if they weren't prepared, even if the gates were designed to break easily.
