Zathira Glossary
Walings – A highly evolved being with extremely sharp and pointy teeth that can crush coral at the bottom of the ocean. They can survive outside of water for months at a time. The average lifespan of a mermaid is 13.4 ceras, but they are not immortal just keep a very youthful appearance. When outside of the water they reproduce the same way that other Zathira reproduce because they also have tails that form from the tails that they have while in the water. These beings may be able to use the full capacity of their minds however their genetic makeup does not include the presence of vocal cords making telepathy and body language their only means of communication. There are males and females that exist within their species. Humans call them mermaids.

Mulis (mule-lee-s) – literally, a split second.
Prasilia – A megalith creature that Zathira hunt to use their body as food and for materials. Sometimes they are kept close to an individual as a servant (pet). They have long hairs and short hairs on their outer dermis and tails with even longer hairs extending from them. Similar to every being on Zathira they have incandescent areas on their bodies that shine brightly in the night in a range of colors reflected the luma light. Like a lion.

Luma- Is the term used to describe the satellites that orbit a planet.
Lavus – Hot glowing red, orange, and blue stream of liquid that flows from the planet's core to the surface that some Zathira swim in like they swim in the water.
Allosautra – Allosaurous
Savlius – A comet.
Ceratotica – Ceratosaurus
Linai – The great expanse that is the pitch void filled with billions of stars, ludis, abysses, streams of gases, etc. Humans call it the universe.
Tuthia – A male or female that is holding a new one inside of them and nourishing its continued growth until 4 thals when it is ready to be birthed. Humans call it pregnancy.
Tuthiss – A child or infant
Thals – The longer expanse of time that is over 3,000 secs or months.
Ludis – Nebulas
Cludosphere – The first layer of a planet from the planet outwards towards the Linai. Humans give it the term atmosphere.
Averous – Cavern
Mounla – A tall reach of land mass that is created when two or more tectonic plates collide and continue to ram into each other causing the land to rise higher and higher until the plates stop moving. On earth they are called mountains.
Licra – Embryonic link between the new one and its birthing parent that helps give nourishment to get while inside of the parent.
Vestiv – Nourishing sac or womb inside of the tail that a new one is conceived and carried in during tuthia.

Megalodon – megalith shark.
Maloth – wooly mammoth.
Dripla – A form of preservation of animal flesh and skin that involves a Zathira dripping a single drop of their blood onto it after it has been bathed in lavus first and then water to cleanse the unwanted blood of the animal from it. This is an old custom that has never changed because it keeps flesh and skin preserved for millions of ceras.

Plukat – Zathira slur meaning 'Fuck'
Namir/Namirit – Zathira slur meaning 'Damn & Damnit'
Zixt – Zathira slur meaning 'Shit'
Camirah – The longest river on Zathira. It stretches across the entire planet. Many of the pixies can be seen hovering above it travel around the planet to stop at one place and then on to another, gather in sparse clusters of white light.
Entros – Ants. On Zathira, they are minisule like the knats on Earth.
Darithia – Is a special metal that was found by the Waling Zala after the crash. The ship was mad up of it. It is used throughout Zathria and is a blend of salivus with Darit metal found deep within Zathria. It is the softest, most durable metal in the linai. When combined with salivus it takes on a mind of its own and molds itself into any form or shape that the owner desires.
