Chereads / Casandra & The Bodyguard / Chapter 25 - First Day

Chapter 25 - First Day

Anan drove his car at high speed, making Casandra tightly grip the car seat. "This world is unfair. Why do you have to be my bodyguard!" Casandra protested while averting her fear.

"What about yourself? You swindler!" Anan said in a cold tone.

"I lied to secure my identity!" Cassandra shouted, glancing at Anan sharply.

"Slow down the car," she whispered softly.

"Why? Afraid? No way!" Anan increased his speed, making Casandra's breath catch.

Her hands continued to grip the car seat tightly, Casandra occasionally stopped her breath as the car accelerated. "Please stop the car," she said with the last strength she had left.

But Anan's feelings are still very upset, he also wants to prank Casandra. "I think you are quite brave, young lady," said Anan coldly, occasionally driving in a zigzag manner.

There were no words Casandra could say. Her hands were clenched into fists, her eyes were tightly shut, she was dizzy. If Anan continued Casandra could faint.

"You know what it's like to be bullied, right?" Anan said as he turned to Casandra. His satisfied expression turned pale as he watched Casandra quietly tremble with her face also pale.

Ciiiittt...

The car stopped for a moment. "I've really gone too far," whispered Anan to himself.

"Sorry," he said, getting worried. But Casandra still didn't budge, the girl really seemed to be shaking.

Anan rushed to buy mineral water not far from where he stopped, hoping Casandra was okay. Don't let the first day of work get a trouble, especially if someone finds out that he's made the young Miss pale.

"Here, have a drink," Anan said while helping Casandra who was still shaking.

"Sorry, young lady" said Anan feeling guilty, those stern eyes stared sadly.

Cassandra was still catching her breath. Meanwhile, Anan drove his car back at a moderate speed until he arrived at the campus.

"We have arrived miss"

Casandra started to recover, she took a deep breath. "You... you are so annoying! I hate you, how dare you prank me! I will report it to my father so that you will be fired!" Casandra grumbled and kept hitting Anan's arm pretty hard.

"Looks like you'd rather be dizzy and almost faint than like this, you naughty Granny!" Anan's opponent was no less upset.

"What did you say?!" Cassandra screamed.

"Grandma is fussy. Besides being talkative, do you have problems with your ears, ha?" Anan replied.

"Shut up, I swear I'll strangle you!" Cassandra said annoyed.

"Please if you can"

"You suck!"

"You are doubly annoying!" Anan answered again. Then they stared at each other in silence like enemies about to fight.

Unknowingly, there were Sara and Nanda right in front of them, who had witnessed the fight.

"Casandra," Sara said. Even though they had been called many times, Anan and Casandra were still making noise in the car.

"Just watch, in 1 month I will get you fired!"

"Help. I'm grateful that I got fired instead of having to be a bodyguard for a young lady like you" answered Anan.

"Hey kid!"

"What?! But before Mr. Sam fires me, in a month I will torture you" Anan said with a grin, then got out of the car.

"What?? I'm the boss here but why are you even threatening to torture me!!" Cassandra screamed. But it's no use, Anan has gotten down and closed the car, so there's no sound of Casandra's nagging.

"Good morning miss" Anan greeted Nanda and Sara politely. Then he opened the car door for Casandra.

"Come on, let's hurry down. Or do you want me to walk you out of the car?" said Anan with a faint smile.

"What did you say?"

"Please Miss, your friends are waiting"

An annoyed Casandra got out of the car. "Watch you!" she said as she passed in front of Anan.

The three friends walked towards campus, while on the way Sara and Nanda also heard an annoyed snort from Casandra's mouth.

"What are you doing? And... Why is Anan with you?" Sara asked curiously.

"He. My bodyguard now" answered Casandra reluctantly.

"What??" shouted Nanda and Sara at the same time.

"My father chose it" Casandra said annoyed as she stomped her feet slowly on the campus floor. "Nanda, Sara. Help me" she whined.

While Sara and Nanda looked at each other, they were at a loss as to how to help when it was all Sam's decision.

"Casandra. I don't know how I can help you, but aren't you lucky to have a bodyguard as handsome as him?" Sara said blushing, imagining Anan would be her bodyguard.

"Ish. You're both annoying. Bring him if you want" Casandra said annoyed then walked quickly to class.

"Oh, it's you. Look at that, Casandra is mad, right!" Nanda said.

This time Casandra seemed to be enjoying her trip. The addition of more annoying people in her life, also people who will argue with her. But in Casandra's mind, she was still thinking about how to get Anan fired.

Several hours passed, the lesson was over. But it seems Casandra is still reluctant to move from her seat. She looked towards the parking lot, Anan was still waiting for him quietly. Anan also knew that Casandra had deliberately come out late because she was playing a prank on him.

"Tch. Stand there until you dry!" Cassandra muttered.

"Casandra, we've been here almost two hours. Don't you want to go home?" said Sara, getting bored.

"You guys go home first, I still want to be here" replied Casandra reluctantly.

"How long will it take?"

"Until the baker's in the parking lot!" Casandra answered, while Nanda and Sara looked at each other. They wanted to go home, but it was also hard to leave Casandra alone in the classroom.

"Casandra" said someone in front of the classroom door. The three of them immediately turned towards the source of the voice.

"Riko" Casandra smiled gently.

"Ah, luckily Riko came, so we can go home in peace. Then, let's go first," said Nanda and Sara, they hurriedly left Riko and Casandra.
