Princess Selena nodded her head. If such a secret required a contract she was ok with it. She had already put her condition down on the chess board so now it was time for Drake to play.
Princess Selena held out her right hand which Karla handed a knife too. Gesturing for Drake to come close her, he stood up from his spot on the rock and approached.
"I will write the runes from our blood to form the contract so that anything that happens in the conversation does not go any farther than here and what happens between us stays between us." Princess Selena explained as she cut a slit in her hand without even flinching while dropping her blood on the ground.
Drake took the knife and did the same and let his blood drop on top of the princess's.
Before Princess Selena could start Drake asked, "your maid needs to leave."
Princess Selena merely nodded and continued using the mixed blood to write on the ground unknown symbols which Drake assumed to be runes.
He intently observed as it took a few minutes to complete the contract. Hundreds of different symbols littered the ground in a circle that went around both Drake and her with them in the center.
"The Aether Blood Contract specifies that what will be spoken here will be kept between us and only us. No information will be shared to other parties in any form such as writing. Is that enough for you~?" Princess Selena winked at Drake while he could only roll his eyes. He could not stand this women who was to abnormal.
"Im activating the contract." Princess Selena kneeled down and began to stir the energy in the atmosphere. Large amounts of aether energy pooled into the blood runes which began to shine a brighter red.
A red mist began to from around them and continued as she poured more energy into the runes. After about a minute the blood mist began to coagulate into two spheres no bigger than centimeter. Drake noticed that the runes had disappeared within the mist which was dissipating slowly.
When all the blood mist was collected into two shiny, bright red blood spheres they shot towards both Drake and Princess Selena. Drake naturally tried to dodge but the sphere was to quick and dispersed right into where his heart was. He felt an unnatural foreign substance began to pour and scour through his body and even up to his head.
Not long after it disappeared. "Its finished, now can you tell me~" Princess Selena returned to her bizarre state as she held her two hands together in front of her moderate breasts with the maniacal look in her eyes.
Drake simply gestured with his arm towards Karla who was still standing by with an expressionless face.
Princess understood and impatiently waved her off with an irritated voice. "Make yourself scarce Karla!"
"Yes, your highness." Karla bowed and moved away from the waterfalls into the trees.
"Sigh~ well I guess I'll explain." Drake felt reluctant but circumstances forced his hands. He is glad that the princess didn't try to force him but worked with him. She was well aware that for her goal roping in Drake could be an exceptional move. Drake figured from the start a princess would be arrogant and look down on 'commoners' but Princess Selena threw that in the wind. Drake knew she could be just an exception. Being impressed by his weapon must have changed her view even if she came here to search for a commoner to gain the Tenebris family support even if just a bit.
"Mmmm~ yes! Ive been patient now you must reward me~..." Princess Selena looked towards Drake with puppy eyes and a slight tilt of her head attempting to use her charms even though she knew it was to late to try such a thing. Being able to converse with her without being nervous was a undoubtedly surprising for a commoner.
"Ok, yes I lost memories of my past. I have no idea who I am or where I come from. The first thing I saw when I woke up was Baroness Tina. She was the one who told me she found me in the forest two weeks ago. However, I have gained previous life memories of someone else." Drake decided to be honest but keep certain details to himself, such as being from another world.
Princess Selena eyes opened in stupor. "So this other person memories is what allowed you to build such a weapon? But how come he knows nothing about magic?" Even though she was surprised, she knew about the words he spoke earlier such as 'Star Wars' and 'Earth' which she has never heard about before.
Drake became slightly stumped from this question. He began trying to think of ways to answer while Princess Selena dropped a bomb on him that he didn't know she would know, "What about Blaster Pistol, Star Wars, and Earth, what are those?"
It was Drake's turn to be surprised! He thought they showed up later but obviously he hadn't been careful enough. He was to excited about such an effect the weapon produced that he let go of his inhibitions unconsciously.
Princess Selena gave a devilish smirk as she realized he was indeed hiding more. "We have the contract, no need to be shy~." Her icy blue eyes were keenly observing Drake from close, very close. Due to the 'ritual' of the contract they were already close. However using this chance she got even closer until she was basically touching Drake.
Drake noticed but was unfazed, he could not care less about her attempt to 'seduce' him yet despite that it still got his blood pumping. He could smell faint perfume wafting into his noise increasing his 'desires'. Bizarrely, his 'desires' as a man was stronger when he interacted with women in his past life. He may not have been married but he had his fair share of one night flings. Be that as it may Drake did not let those desires show now.
Drake looked straight into her conniving eyes and sighed deeply. "There are terms from...my old world."
Princess Selena raised her brows in confusion. Old world? Drake continued on, "The name of that world is called Earth."
"Hehh~ Intersting, interesting." Princess Selena put her hand to her cheek and gazed into Drake's eyes with a slightly tilted head. "Hehehe~" Princess Selena began to giggle hysterically at such a thought. In spite of such an insane claim, she believed him. Something she forgot to tell Drake, or didn't mention on purpose, is that she added a clause that would her know if Drake was lying. This technique is a secret the royal family holds in their personal library for such uses that required Aether Blood Contracts.
The earlier statement technically did not indicate lying as the body he was inhabiting had gain the memories of a 'past life'. If Princess Selena had not heard Drake talking she would have figured the first statement was the only truth. Inwardly patting herself on the back for catching Drake's blunder she continued asking questions.
"So that weapon previously is an invention of your old world Earth?" Drake gave a deep nod before replying.
"It's called a gun. It shoots a projectile called a bullet out of the barrel at high speeds. Just one of the many things I can create." Princess Selena smile grew more and more. She didn't know how well it would go up against well crafted armor but nevertheless she was excited to try!
"So back to my original question~! How far can the shoot?" Her eyes gleamed in anticipation.
"From point black range" Drake indicating by holding his hand out and poking her shoulder, "to up to 1000~ish meters."
"Yay~! Yay~! Hehehe~ excellent!" Princess Selena's icy blue eyes began to show intense fluctuations of madness while she smirked.
Drake has been keeping himself reserved not trying to show much emotion but this women let it all out. Drake had no idea of her circumstances and truly did not care. As long as she can help him with what he was planning, he would help her achieve whatever 'chaos' she wanted.
For someone of her age she seemed rather childish but Drake knew from the look in her eyes that her personality was warped in unseemly ways.
"I would love to hear more about this 'Earth' later but we should began to head back. Im sure Baroness Tina is close at hand." After regaining her composure she closed off her personality to a respectable princess.
Drake nodded but he had some things he would like to collect. "If you will wait at the beach there are some things I want to collect before we leave."
Princess Selena nodded, "Mn."
After Drake arrived at the beach where Karla and the guards were waiting he moved over to his makeshift work area. He picked up the empty wolf skin back pack and headed into the mountains. His plan? To collect as many Aether Crystals as possible to take back with him from the crystal vein he found.
Being quick to collect as many finger nail sized crystals and a few palm sized crystals, he quickly filled up his bag. Covering it up he retuned to the beach.
A few people gave him weird looks as they all noticed the fluctuation of heavy and prevalent waves of Aether Energy but since most of them have never been near tons of aether crystals before they ignored it.
However, Princess Selena eyes were shining with greed with a large smile on her face.
