Don't Love Me

Boris was on a record of 15 relentless streak of asking out his neighbor's daughter,Florence who turned down all his proposals limiting every bond to friendship

Florence was known to be the fragile kid of the neighborhood as she was always sick and weak with her parents never telling anyone what their daughter was suffering from this made most of the neighbors avoid them

Boris and his family were different they didn't mind if they didn't tell their secret, in fact both families knew how precious Florence was to Boris even with her not giving her a chance

Boris would visit her everyday after school to check on her and tell her sweet poems and stories to make her smile

One day, he paid a visit and found no one at Florence's house only to be informed an ambulance came over and took the girl to the hospital her dad and mom should be with her

He rushed to the hospital but was denied to see the love of his life no matter his persistence, he cried out as he was scared something bad must have happened he returned home broken

It was three days now and no sign of a human in their compound till the forth day when he returned from school and saw florence's dad car parked outside

He rushed over and was directed to go upstairs, he was scared as Florence mom was crying

His hands trembled as he opened the door , as it opened he ran towards her on the bed hugged her n kissed her by the forehead

She was looking pale and losing hairs on her head but he didn't care

Seeing his reactions she cried holding him tight and asked you want to go out with me this evening by the hills ??

Boris in shock was speechless Yes yes he replied with a heavenly smile all over his face

Going downstairs her parents didn't stop them from going out her mom just kept crying

Boris trying to be curious was stopped by florence dad

Don't bother about her I got her just enjoy your time with our daughter

They left for the hills, finally at the top they stood looking at the green forest in front of them

It's beautiful out here ! Florence uttered in an icy tone

There was absolute silence for a while

I'm sorry Boris ! Florence said looking ahead with tears rolling down her cheek

Boris shocked and worried turned towards her stop crying ! You don't need to be sorry

I'm scared, I'm really scared she added

What are you scared of ? Boris asked he was always already too worried that his hands started trembling

I'm already broken Boris cried out

I'm sorry boris as ran down the hill but Boris followed and just as he was about to catch her she fell

Boris frightened and wanting to call an ambulance when she stopped him

No don't !! Anyways this is my last day and I'm happy to spend it with the love of my life but how did you know I had a deadly cancer she asked curiously!

I overheard your dad talking to your family doctor one day when I came visiting he replied she smiled and held his hands tight slowly her breathe stopped with a bold smile on her face and she uttered I'M GLAD I KNEW AND LOVE SOMEONE LIKE YOU !! as her eyes turnt white and body got cold and stiff

Boris wept out loudly that he fainted , he only got back to himself a week later after her funerals and burial

He visited her grave often to drop flowers and say poems and story

It was a year already the same day florence died , he walked up the hill and as he stared at the green forest the cold breeze makes him tears out

Men don't cry a voice said behind him

Turning around to see a beautiful lady he didn't know
