I walk out of the coffee shop and think about something. Aysel stared at me with a worried face. When she almost said something,
"Grll"
"Ah, I'm sorry. Looks like I'm hungry. Let's eat something."
I said to Arsel.
Arsel stared at me and softly laughed. Even though she's worried about me, seeing me like this is enough to make her worries go away.
"Okay~"
We both walk towards the convenience store and buy instant noodles. I sit on the chair besides the window and eat the instant noodles. I noticed Arsel looking at me and gulping while I was eating.
"Do you want some?"
"Ye-no, I'm fine. Ghost didn't eat."
"So, what did you guys eat?"
"We have food in the Land of Aster."
"So that means you can't eat living food?"
"Hm"
"I see"
She stared at me again. Suddenly, she smirked and pointed at something outside the window.
"Hey, look over there!"
"Hm?"
I turn my head in the direction she points. Before I knew it, I heard a "slurp" sound. I turned my head back to her and caught her eating my instant noodles.
"I miss this taste so muchhhh."
"I thought you couldn't eat living food."
"Hm, you're correct, but I was just fine earlier? Perhaps I can eat more?"
Aysel stands up, walks in the direction of the food shelf, and tries to take the food. She tried to grab it, but she failed. again and again. Later, she was disappointed and walked towards me again.
"I can't eat other foods. It's not fair."
"You tried to steal something; it's not good."
"Hey, excuse me, I just wanted to try, okay? But I was fine when I ate your instant noodles."
"Maybe you can only eat the things that I already taste."
"Hm.. Reasonable."
I give her a soft smile and continue eating my instant noodles. Arsel stared at me again and walked towards the food shelf.
"Hey, buy me this."
I turn my head towards Arsel. She's pointing at the Onigiri and making puppy eyes.
"Pretty please?"
I sigh as I take one of the onigiri and pay for it. I walk towards her again and give her the onigiri.
"Yay, thank you!"
She took the onigiri, and it penetrated her hand and fell to the ground. She froze and stared at me again.
"I think you really need to eat it first."
I stare at her and pick up the onigiri on the floor. I remove the plastic wrap from it and bite some. After I bite into almost half of it, I give it to her.
"Did you really just bite it in half? That's not fair! You food stealer!"
"I paid for the food."
"But- hmp!"
She took the onigiri from my hand and ate it slowly. While eating, she kept rolling her eyes at me. It's like déjà vu. My memories replay once again.
Every time after school, we will stop by the convenience store and buy instant noodles. I often steal her food, and so does she. We were laughing while stealing each other's food.
I get back into reality and stare back at her, who is still eating and enjoying the onigiri.
"Arsel."
"Hm? What? I won't give it to you anymore."
"It's not about that."
"What is it?"
"I promise. I will find that person. I promise I will send you back and rest in peace."
Arsel, stop eating, and swallow the onigiri. She stared at me and gave me a warm smile.
"Thank you."
"No matter what it costs, I promise. I will avenge you."
