Chapter 20 - You are wrong sabot the Song - you never get it right

Sitting at my balcony, I could see the gondolas sailing from the bottom of the street in Venice. I could hear a serenade being played to a loved one at the distance, sometimes muffled by the soft waves hitting the building; disturbing the buildings near by. The splashing of the paddle were an addition to the uniform sounds being taken away by the warm breeze just passing by in between the houses.

A couple of doves took opportunity to rest from the very active morning routine. I guess it was love season for this couple. There was the smell of love in the air. I continued to sip and enjoy my coffee.

The warm embracing of the sun touches my freckled cheeks. My wavy burned reddish hair, did complimented my Irish looks.

Many of my friends thought I was the reincarnation of Brave, the Disney character. I felt and ruled by being a free spirited person. Everyone thought nothing could stop me.My Gemini nature was a perfect match for anyone. Easy going risk taker, nothing could stop me.

I noticed far far down the isle, right where the street ends, music was being played. I tuned up my ears trying to catch the lyrics or the melody. I kinda got to the place from where the music was being played, but no success.

I continued walking, and met the Distillery District by; containing numerous cafes and high end stores. Of course Gucci had a participation on this huge project.

Curiosity drew me to get inside. Found my favourite handbag.

I purchased it after trying it on in front of the mirror. I thought to my self "How y'all feel out there?"

I felt my ego invaded my thoughts.

I loved how it looked on me.

So I purchased it.

With the song recorded in my iPhone and the handbag, went back to my apartment.

I've told Kelly that on this trip I was to bring her a Gucci purse. But never got the right address. The streets are tricky. Although I was given the correct address, never got it right. Tricky bending canals to navigate through.

During my frustrating efforts to turn the gondola right to its supposed route, I heard that song again. I grabbed my phone and tried to record the song being played. I thought this would work.

Back home I played the recording again, the song that my friends and I went into a big discussion last time we got together for a bbq.

We had met them at my cousins brother wedding. Rachel and Roland, passionate love for travelling lead us to bump into each other when arriving at Venice Marco Polo Airport. The couple were on a stop by on their way to Africa for a annual expedition report for the UNESCO. They both have a pretty interesting job - I thought.

We agreed to get together and decided to go to a pub. During dinner, it occurred to us to bring the 'song' subject back. It was the time to tell him, 'You are wrong about the song' subject'; game we always enjoyed, - bet cha you never get it right.

Of course the start of the usual big discussion. We tried listening to all the bands records we had but still we never got it right.

Yes we heard it 50 thousand times.

And still sticked in our mind. Still get it wrong. I lied to win this game.
