Over a thousand years ago. Our world was plunged into the dark ages by an event that destroyed half our planet. Due to this event, many thought this would end humanity as we know it. However, life had something else planned for us. One day, the world received 4 elemental beings: Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water. Some thought they were sent from the heavens but, as they revealed to us, it was quite the opposite. These beings were part of a being that had lived on earth since its beginning. They called themselves the "Alkor". They were part of a larger being they referred to as the "KOR", a being of ultimate sentience and power. As many theorized, the world came close to its end due to a singularity of world power. This caused the KOR's power to awaken and burst out, unfortunately causing the end of half the planet.
The KOR sent the Alkor to help rebuild what they destroyed and protect those who could not protect themselves. They became the world's protectors and closest allies. They continued to help the world as the years went on, and they took the broken half of the planet and made it their home. Though some went on their own journeys to explore what was left of the world and others helped organize the world's affairs. Due to the KOR's limitless power, its energy, later referred to as BIOS spilled from out from it and spread into all life on earth, granting humans other-worldly abilities and powers. It started off small with only a few humans awakening, but after a while, there wasn't a single human on earth who hadn't obtained some form of ability.
Years later, the world, Humans, and the Alkor alike finished rebuilding the world to a new high not even considered possible before… However, this peaceful period of time was short-lived.
Centuries after the KOR came to this world. A boy and a woman face each other at the edge of a cliff facing the ocean. The boy stood injured before a woman, his face full of devastation and despair. The woman stood tall before him saying, "You have no place in this world. There was no need for your existence, you were a mistake Aegis." Her head tilted with a wicked grin that sent shivers down the boy's spine.
"What do you mean!?" The boy cried out as he winced in pain, feeling as if the world around him was flooding his mind, like a hurricane in his skull. "What happened to saving this world, to protecting it?!" He painfully screams "How could you betray me, betray this world you've spent so long protecting?!".
"This IS saving the world! Can you not hear the cries of salvation? Isn't it beautiful?" The woman yells with a smile.
At this point, a glow emanates from beyond the horizon and starts to shine brighter and brighter. An excruciating hum begins as the ground starts to quake and crumble. "Ahh, he has arrived.
Turning to see the scene the woman exclaims, "He has come!".
"What's going on? What have you done?!" Says the boy as he falls to the ground in pain
The woman slowly walks to the boy and stands over him. "What we have done Aegis, do not think you have not had a part in this grand salvation by the KOR, salvation from the pests that crawl on this earth and sap the power from the KOR" The woman says in a soft voice. "Watch as we all once again become part of the almighty KOR and become free!" She says while turning towards the light.
Feeling the immense pressure emanating from beyond the horizon, the boy's body starts to feel like it's being crushed. The lights beyond the horizon start to become brighter and brighter to the point where it becomes a pure white light, and finally... Explodes...
The sound was deafening, it horrified the boy to his core as he felt the world beneath his feet wither away from him and begin to pull him into the light, the sensations of being shattered into a million pieces came over him. The explosion tore through the earth and decimated everything and everyone with it, he was sure nothing could survive it, not even himself. During his final moments, the boy screams, sucked into a void of light, entering the ever going darkness within. This is The End of humanity.Â
