There was no way that Aiden Rockerfeller was going to allow the innocent and feisty little girl to go scot-free. He kept looking at the door for Adriana to walk out in vain until sleep finally caught up with him.
Due to the anesthesia, Aiden couldn't keep his eyes open anymore, they were so heavy that he could only shut them to have his rest. After a few minutes of him falling into slumber, Adriana finally stepped out of the washroom with his trousers in hand.
She didn't want to see his face anymore, at least not now. Or the ideal word is, she couldn't look into his eyes like nothing actually happened. She might as well avoid him for now. Adriana returned to the washroom with the trouser, which she placed in the laundry basket, and finally stepped out to also catch some sleep.
Now that Aiden was sleeping, she could finally check his forehead to confirm the temperature she felt when he leaned on her earlier.
