Another short moment later, an ear-piercing scream broke the silence of the darkroom once again, causing Rita to flinch in fright. Then she suddenly, felt something crawling around her feet.
Rita could not believe what she just felt. "No…No…No…No… Th..is must be..a mistake!" She braced herself and remained static, without moving in the slightest bit. Her eyes were also tightly shut. She wouldn't dare open them. Perhaps, closing them means she would be safe from whatever was out there, who knows!
After all, there is a popular saying that goes by, 'see no evil, do no evil'. There was no sound after the last scream, and it was as though the scream earlier never happened at all.
Meanwhile, Rita suddenly felt something crawling at her feet once more, and this time, it was not a momentary touch that felt like she was imagining things. Rita could now feel clearly, what it was that was crawling around her feet.
