"What's the cost of this information you're so freely giving out to me?"
The beggar asked a man who was sitting cross-legged on a couch across where he stood. He looked like everything was beneath him. If the beggar had looked more carefully, he would have seen the scornful look in the middle-aged man's eyes.
"Are you doubting me?" He fired back at the eyesore before him. All he wanted was a dumb cannon fodder. He couldn't have his hands tainted with blood, nor could he make the mistake of trailing anything back to himself. Why else would he have thought of baiting the silly fool standing before him?
