Aiden had stayed away from Adriana long enough. He allowed her to accompany his father in the garden because he knew Adriana would also feel free and rest her mind around Old Troy.
He pretended to be disinterested in everything the two were doing, and the disguised hurt in Adriana's eyes didn't go unnoticed by him. He was sure she would have preferred him to move to the garden with them. After all, it was her first time meeting Old Troy, and she would need him around.
However, Aiden didn't wish to lead Adriana on for her to think that everything was okay between them. He wanted to hear from her why she was in Country P. She needed to tell him why she left Country C all of a sudden and was in his home unannounced.
Aiden didn't care about Adriana's unannounced presence. If for anything, she gave him a pleasant surprise, as he was extremely glad to see her after the continuous torments she meted out to him in his dreams.
