Adriana didn't think twice about walking out on the silent man who thought it was too much trouble to promise to be true to her, and her alone. She was at the door and was about to walk out when she heard him speak up.
Aiden finally regained his wits when he felt the person in his arms move away. The emptiness woke him up from his trance and compelled him to react to the situation before him. Aiden felt dread when Adriana moved away from him, and even though he remained rooted to his spot, his words spoke for him.
