The last thing Aiden remembers doing was grabbing his mother's hand at the mall and dragging her from one shop to the other, buying everything that caught his fancy. He could remember vividly when she asked how he felt about having a kid brother or sister.
Aiden was only ten, but he understood clearly what his mother meant by taking his hand into hers, placing it on her tummy, and asking such a question. Aiden was filled with so much joy that he didn't know how to react. The first thing he remembered saying was "can I give her a name?"
This only earned him a long laugh from his mother who then asks him in return, "how do you know it's a girl?" Aiden could only reply with a ridiculous response, "because I know I'll have a little sister pretty soon!" His mother didn't know what she was expecting either, so she tells Aiden to wait for eight more months to find out if it was a little sister or a little brother.
