[Nyra's POV]
It already started raining as I got into my car. 'I'm already hungry…' I started the engine and drove off.

"You could have at least asked me if I wanted a coffee!" Mia pouted as I came back with my coffee. I looked around. "Where are Nyra and Alex?" she grinned. "They left centuries ago through that door!" I looked in the direction she pointed in.
Just half a second later, my coffee switched its owner. "How did I fall for that?" Mia just chuckled and turned back to her screen. I threw myself back in my seat and after a few minutes of silence I asked here "So why did you decide on working here?"
"Well, it's pretty chilly here, I guess. I can even talk to the boss like she was my best friend and address her by her first name, all while being far away from society on an island where my stupid ex can't reach me."
"And the job pays well" We wanted to continue but a small alarm signal started to blink. "What is" We both turned at the giant screen in front of us which had a giant map of the island and the surrounding sea.
"That's a big motherfucking ass storm…" Mia stumbled. On the right side of the screen there were the meteorological illustration of a very fast-moving storm. "That thing is half the size of the island. "I think we should make some calls…" we both took our phones out.
[Nyra's POV]
The rain was hitting the giant window in the dining room. I was eating some leftovers from yesterday as I watched the raindrops race down the window. 'I still can't believe there was a time when we all sat here together and would enjoy mom's dishes'
I may have gotten my mom's black hair and her heterochromia eyes, but definitely not her cooking skills. If living on an island had one disadvantage, it would be the fact that ordering pizza was nearly impossible, as no reasonable priced delivery service would deliver a pizza to me.
'I could just go to the restaurant' But as I looked at the clock all my hopes were shattered. 'I'll go to sleep now' I put on my pajamas and lied down in my bed. I was still sleeping in my old room even though all other bedrooms were unoccupied, but it would be strange to sleep in a bed where a family member of mine always slept…
I drifted into sleep and as I finally was completely sleeping the alarm sirens went off. But they didn't wake me up. I just slept like a baby having a very strange dream…
[Kyla's POV]
I was sitting in the captain's chair on the BRS-Miracle, praying that we would outrun this storm. I turned over to the rest of the crew. "How could our computer not notice this GIANT STORM?" I nearly screamed at them.
The new guy, still staring at the screen, mumbled "it's not there…" "What's not there?" I jumped up and walked over to him. "The island is just not there…" I looked at the computer screen, which should display the map.
"How is it not there? I can literally see it with my own eyes!" Everybody agreed with me. Through our windows, we could see the port of the island which we were currently heading to, but all our systems told us it isn't there.
"Prepare to dock!" After we arrived behind the safe walls of the port, which would protect us from the waves, we went off board. I walked straight to the port-operating hut, but nobody was there.
"Seek shelter" a red message blinked on the screen. "Well then…" I turned around and looked at my crew. I gave them a sign and they started walking away. "Why didn't they send us that message?"
