Meredith's POV
I had reached a point where I no longer knew how to feel or what to say, not only because I knew the best course of action was to not see him but also because I had no desire to put myself in a position where he could crawl back into my life or be anyone else's ulterior motives.
I was done, drained, and deeply hurt. I couldn't trust him anymore or anyone else at the office with my pain because I didn't know what would happen if they asked me to let it go.
They won't understand I'm hurt because he was the driver but because he lied to me when he could have come clean even before anything happened between us. if I talk to him again I might be vulnerable and perhaps forgive him. I fear I wouldn't be able to handle it this vulnerability is manipulated by him once more.
