Matthew's POV
I said as I handed him everything in my wallet, he took his time counting the bills. "Money talks, Matthew. Marisa's been hanging around that abandoned warehouse down by the docks. But I ain't guaranteeing you'll find her in good shape." he said
I grimaced, "The warehouse? Thanks, I guess. Just promise me you won't lead anyone else there." I said as Shadow pocketed the money.
"I ain't no snitch. Now, get out here before someone sees us. And good luck with your friend. You'll need it." he said.
I left the alley with a mix of anxiety and determination. I made my way to the abandoned warehouse, hoping to find Marisa and bring her back from the dark path she was on. Little did I know, the challenges ahead would test both my loyalty and my courage.
