Matthew's POV
Meredith was with Gabby, I excused myself to make a call after seeing the driver's text. I know Marisa was going to give him a hard time, I can't leave now and I can't tell Meredith about it. I know she will understand but with her condition, the last thing I wanted was to make her worry for nothing.
I pull out my phone from my pocket walking back to the children's room I can't seem to get enough of it. I simply love everything about the room, it gives me a sense of relief and warmth.
I anxiously paced around the room, clutching my phone as I waited for the driver, Carlos, to answer. I had entrusted Carlos with the important task of taking Marisa to her therapist, as she had started using again.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn.
As the call connected, I could hear the faint sounds of traffic in the background.
