Matthew's POV
Our father was escorted to the examination room, where he was laid down on the machine bed and subjected to a head scan. Lizzy, my sibling, chose not to accompany him and stayed outside, wringing her hands nervously.
Meanwhile, my mother stayed by my father's side, ensuring his comfort and stillness throughout the procedure. I stood by the window, observing the scene as Lizzy struggled to maintain her composure.
I find it rather astonishing that my mother did not choose to align herself with the other medical practitioners situated on the opposite side. It appears that, at this juncture, nothing else holds much significance.
"Take a moment to observe, Lizzy. Notice how tranquil Mother appears," I suggested, directing her attention towards the transparent glass.
