"I am pleased to inform you that your father's vital signs are stabilizing, which is a positive development," the doctor stated, his smile conveying warmth and reassurance. The significance of this news was not lost on me - it was a miracle, a glimmer of hope that rekindled my spirits and renewed my resolve. With this newfound optimism, I felt empowered to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
"You heard that Dad," I smiled walking close to his bedside. "Well yes, but mind you, it's going to be a long road of recovery at a very slow pace but we are off for a good start," The doctor gently touches my shoulders, and I turn to look at her with the widest smile. Nothing she said was going to change how I felt. I nod my head as they walk out of the room.
