Meredith's POV
My heart skipped a bit as I was about to be caught, I quickly made my way to the next hallway, lying flat on the wall. I heard a few footsteps luckily when the person didn't see anyone in the hallway, he went back.
That was how I was saved from an embarrassing situation. I let out deep breaths. Oh yeah, I forgot I was going somewhere. I looked in my hands and still, I had the car keys. Now the light was bright. I could see the car key in my hands. It looks different, but anyway, as long as it starts, I have no problem since I can't make another trip to get another key.
I made my way out of the main hall and the entrance, I was already overwhelmed by walking, I was panting as if I had run a marathon, but I couldn't give up now. I tried walking out but paused quickly. Luckily, I saw the guard in time, and I used the back door to the garage.
