Matthew's POV
"Hello, son," my father whispered with a soft grin. He was in pain. I could see that, he looked different too, but he held his head up and forced a smile like he always does. Why did he leave the hospital when he was so sick?
"Daddy," I hissed and couldn't hold back my tears though I fought them so hard, they still twinkled down my cheeks.
"Daddy will get you bail, son," he said to me, and yes, it set my heart at peace, and I believe him. I believe we will win this court case despite the odds. I will fight for what is mine. And this is just the beginning.
"What are you doing here Matthew, you should be in bed right now?" My mother complained walking close to my father who avoided her like a plaque. Their misunderstanding must be deep-rooted looking at the two of them right now.
