Meredith's POV
My father had instructed me to wait inside the car, but I couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency to escape the situation. As we exited the gynaecologist's office, I couldn't help but notice her scrutinizing gaze. Thankfully, my choice of clothing obscured my true months, preventing her from making any assumptions. It's incredible to think that I am carrying not one, not two, but three lives within me.
Nervously, I acknowledged her presence with a nod before making my way out of there. I knew better than to expect any sort of kindness or concern from her, as our relationship had always been strained at best.
I left the scene without any interest in the conversation or the relationship between the individuals involved. I proceeded to collect my prescription from the pharmacy and sat quietly in the car with my head resting against the window.
