Cayden hasn't come to see me at all this afternoon, so I take it as a bad sign. He was quiet throughout lunch and didn't even say a word to me. I know I should've tried to talk to him, but I couldn't. This makes me wonder if he overheard what Lambert told me. It seems impossible, but then again what do I know? I'm having a hard time looking at him. I just can't believe he would lie to me and try to keep me here for his benefit.
What kind of person is he?
I take small bites of my lunch, but only to not make anything obvious. Lambert is sitting across from me and he doesn't look my way once. I think he too has noticed something off about Cayden, so I think we better act like that conversation never happened. I'm having a hard time believing it did if I'm being honest. Cayden is a bad guy? He wants to mate with me? It feels like a nightmare. A horrible dream.
