When the call with Toni ended Amani began to look up and down the road for a cab that would take them back home.
"I couldn't understand enough from your end of the conversation alone. Which address did you ask him to send to you? You want to go and meet him there?" Becca asked her friend who she saw was desperately looking around for a cab
"His assistant said he's at the Phoenix Gentlemen's club. He gave me just an hour to pick Fluffy up, otherwise, he would send poor Fluffy to the animal shelter and he didn't even say which animal shelter he would be sending him to."
"He wouldn't do that?" Becca gasped, looking horrified
"Yes, he would! I know I was reckless. In a bid to save Fluffy, I caused an accident that destroyed his valuable property and he even got injured in the process but I've apologized several times but he wouldn't listen.
