Principal Jun was an ambitious man.
He was youthful and only in his thirties but he believed he could have the world in his hands. But he needed to collaborate with some messy and shady people before he could get what he wanted. His wife always worried about him. Sera was like that. Ever since they met, even when he wasn't involved in all this business side of things, Sera was wary of everything and everyone.
Sera chose to homeschool their child, and he approved but only so he wouldn't have to watch over and protect his child and show favoritism over other students. They had an arranged marriage but principal Jun was faithful to his wife and learned to love her over the years.
"Thank you, Mr. Wells. I appreciate the honesty," Principal Jun said, wiping a dot of sweat from his mustache.
"Thank you for understanding, Principal Jun. We agree on the entrance of Mace as a guarantee for your promotion." Mr. Wells responded.
"That's right, we ensure Mace's entrance," Principal Jun confirmed.
The video call ended after they exchanged a few pleasantries, and Daniel Jun told the secretary to let the kids in.
"Who was shouting this loudly while I was having a meeting?" Principal Jun asked.
"Principal Jun, Mr. Harrison is in danger! Mace is..." Blue and Magenta complained to the principal.
They tried to bring Principal Jun to the hall but he refused. Mr. Wells warned that something like this may happen, and he told the principal to turn a blind eye. So Principal Jun did just that.
"Where did this happen?" He asked.
"In the sports hall gym!" They said.
"I will call the security control room to check the cameras. If what you say is true we will call the police. If you are lying there will be consequences." Principal Jun warned.
He told the security to check the cameras and there was no activity going on from the security control room.
"Sir, there is nothing happening there. It's normal." The guard reported.
Principal Jun sighed, picking up his briefcase.
"I don't know why you kids have to waste my time. I'm a busy man," Principal Jun said, leaving Blue and Magenta to get to other meetings.
"Who will help us?" Magenta asked.
She gnawed on her lip, wondering how they could get people to help. Surely others near the hall could help? But there weren't people around the hall during that time.
"Maybe if we can call the police?" Blue said.
"With whose phone?" Magenta said.
"Ah you're right. It would be hard to get the teachers to give us the phone. But we can't just leave my brother!" Blue said.
"Okay Blue, let's go back to the gym room. I have an idea, sort of," Magenta said.
There was a fire extinguisher on the floor below the sports hall gym. Magenta ran down the steps to get the bottle. She grabbed the fire extinguisher and handed the bottle to Blue. Blue nodded and he smashed the window of the gym with the extinguisher. The glass shattered, causing pieces to fly everywhere, some hitting Blue's arm and some hitting Magenta's exposed legs.
But they tried to ignore the pain and go into the gym room. They had to rescue Blue's brother and get out of this campus. There was something wrong with this campus, and there was no more room to argue that Oakstone was just adjusting.
Something sinister was happening at Oakstone, and if they couldn't get out, they could be the next ones with headstones.
