Fiero's
I decided to clean up first and go to their room. I took a peek at the slightly opened door. I saw a mess. They were both running and jumping on the bed.
My wife was at the kitchen preparing her milk. She's like our kids who can't sleep without milk at night.
Maybe they were both already tired so they're now preparing to sleep. I took that as my cue to walked inside their room. I immediately went to their bed and kissed their foreheads.
"Good night babies, sorry if dad didn't make his promise that we'll be together on your birthday," I said. I saw Faire's shoulders move a bit, a sign that she's already crying. This princess of mine is really a cry baby.
"Please forgive dad already hmm," I lowered my voice to sound pitiful. I know they can't tolerate me as much as I can't tolerate them. But it doesn't seem to be working as of this moment.
"Promise I won't do it again," I added, but still no response.
