Beep. Beep. Beep. The machine by Angie's bedside beeped, slowly moving from zero. Angie slowly moved her right index finger, then another and soon enough, three fingers were moving slowly on her bed.
She slowly opened her eyes to find she was in a hospital room. Her gaze was fixed on the door and she was yet to regain full functionality of her senses.
"Thank goodness!" Gabriel said as he breathed out a sigh of relief. Alice moved to press the intercom to alert the doctor who walked in shortly afterwards.
He went straight to Angie's bedside and noted the readings on the monitor.
"She's in a good condition," the doctor told Gabriel and Alice who were looking on hopefully. Once again, Gabriel let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
" You can stay with her for a while," the doctor added before walking out.
Angie slowly sat on the bed and glared at Alice in a hostile manner.
" Why are you here?" She harshly asked Alice.
