"Uh?" Donald asked in disappointment.
"Isn't that what you wanted?" Daphne asked in a harsh tone and Donald looked at her in amusement, a smile on his lips. Wasn't he enjoying the show?
"He is getting worse, and he will get worse if you do nothing. Don't say I didn't warn you," Daphne said in a serious tone.
"You tend to give that little boy so much power. If he tries any more mischief, he will be in for it," Donald warned harshly and Daphne nodded sarcastically.
Her voice was getting hoarse from shouting yet there wasn't any change in Donald. He still treated Carey like a leper.
From the next room where Carey was seated sulking, he could hear how his parents' conversation went on. He felt pain in his heart, as if someone had purposely cut his wound using a sharp knife dipped in raw salt.
He shut his eyes and folded his fists, his heart beating fast and loud. His eyes were beetroot red and a few lines were drawn on his face.
