"The court will send out a summon." Karen heard the clerk as she handed over the papers.
"Great. Thank you," Karen replied with a polite smile before she took a step back.
"Just a moment," The court clerk suddenly called out in a surprised tone.
Karen looked at the court clerk, questioning.
"You didn't fill in his address?" The court clerk curiously asked.
Karen awkwardly mumbled that she didn't know the answer.
"Perhaps a hotel or some other establishment. He traveled all the way from New York. Just look for him using the contact details," Karen replied in a sound that suggested she was uninterested in the conversation. She then left with her attorney.
Next to her car, she handed out the first installment of her payment to the lawyer and rushed into her car, in a hurry to get back to the office.
