Karen's gaze moved around her surrounding. She then looked at the brown envelope with her academic credentials on her lap and sighed.
She slowly tilted her head to look at the other applicants seated beside her and breathed out heavily.
'So many people applied,' she thought. 'But only one will be selected.'
Looking down, she started fidgeting with her fingers and tapped the floor, and a section of the applicants seated next to her turned to look at her. She felt their harsh stare towards her and looked up to mumble an awkward sorry.
She felt butterflies all over her stomach, and she couldn't help but wonder why the other applicant was taking so long inside the panel interview room.
'Is the grilling too much? Or are the questions too tough to answer?' She sadly thought as she felt her bowels get full.
