Yellow River Academy:
Gilbert was about to step forward, to confront Mike or at least find out what the chaos was all about, when something caught him off guard. His communication stone vibrated violently, and a sharp, urgent message filled his mind.
A summons from the Dean.
The words hung in the air like a thunderclap. Gilbert's breath hitched. A summons from the Dean wasn't something anyone could take lightly. The timing couldn't have been worse.
He glanced one last time at the scene in front of the dormitory, the crowd buzzing with unease, Mike Curtis still locked in tense discussion. Whatever was happening here would have to wait.
But as Gilbert turned to leave, a sense of foreboding settled deep in his bones. Something wasn't right. Why now? Why him? The Dean's summons felt different this time, more urgent, more ominous.
