Pepper slept longer than usual but It didn't stop her from dragging her feet as she entered the bathroom to shower.
For some reason she was exhausted. She had never been exhausted like this before.
She yawned with her eyes closed as she stepped into shower, almost slipping and falling.
She shook her head and forced her eyes open. She allowed the cold shower to run down her body while her mind wandered off to the incident of last week when Asher's hands were all over her body.
When she experienced what real pleasure felt like for the first time in years and finally, when he told her it had been a mistake liking her in the first place, nothing had ever stung as much as that even though it was exactly what she thought she wanted to hear.
