Mariela's POV
The moment my husband walked toward me, I could hear the loud pounding of my heart against my chest, and I couldn't believe this was happening right now. I wanted to tell him I was angry with him and I was hurting because of how he treated me, but when I felt his warm lips on my mouth, I lost it; I could feel my heart dancing with too much happiness when he captured my mouth hungrily.
I kissed him back without reservations, and we were making out and didn't notice how we made it towards the bed.
"I miss you so much, Ella, and I wanted to show you how much I love you through my kisses and allow me to make it up to you," he whispered in my ear, and I could feel my entire body was on fire as I felt my husband pulled over my dress on my head.
It felt so raw to have him looking at me the way he used to stare at my face when I was still eighteen, and it felt like we were back in time when we were both so in love with each other.
