Luis had loved Cora all his life. Even though their two families lived in the same neighborhood when they were kids, and their mothers took them to the same community park to play, Cora and Luis never had the opportunity to meet and play with each other because of the slight difference in their social status.
Cora was the daughter of the local baker while Luis's father was the headmaster of a private school that Luis also attended. Luis's family belonged to the middle class but his mother, a proud woman, take the difference in their social status seriously and never allowed him to relate with the less privilege like she called the people from the lower-class families
Because of that, seven years old Luis was denied the opportunity to play with the beautiful five years old Cora. He could only watch her from afar and secretly envied every little boy their age that she played with until his father got a better job and they moved to a better neighborhood.
