"Are you both fighting because of me?" Zach and Cora both turned towards their daughter who they saw looked as if she was about to cry.
They felt guilty. Most especially Cora because Zach warned her to mind her language and keep her voice down so Isabella wouldn't hear them argue but she let her emotions take control of her. How could she allow herself to be carried away to such an extent?
They both moved swiftly to where she stood and knelt down, each parent on each side of her.
"Fight? No honey, we weren't fighting!" Cora said
You weren't" Isabella asked in confusion.
"We were just having a strong debate," Zach said and Cora nearly bowed to him in respect at how fast he could think of a convenient excuse.
"What's a strong-debate?" Isabella asked with a frown on her face. The issue of mommy and daddy fighting was put aside at the moment.
Zach lifted Isabella into his arms and walked back towards the bed, gently placing her on it.
