Emmy quickly pushed her head away with her hand and could not help but protest in a low voice:
"It's already dawn, Mr. James Thomson."
"Well,"
James answered almost inaudibly, burying his head around her neck and smelling the morning scent of her body:
"Sleep a little longer. You almost bled me dry last night."
Emmy immediately blushed and could not help but shout in protest:
"It was you..."
James smiled, her thin lips rubbing against her neck:
"Well, I was so hungry that I wiped you dry, so..."
Before James could finish, her phone rang on the nightstand. She pushed hubby away and reached out to grab it.
When Carson called, she quickly pressed the answer button, and then Carson said to her on the phone:
"Emmy, I have something to do in Detroit that I can't leave. You can go to the Paris jewelry exhibition the day after tomorrow. I've already asked someone to book a flight for you..."
