when a knock on the door of the study rang.
"Come in," he looked up at the door, a smile on his lips.
The next second, the door was pushed open, and Emmy came in with a tray in his hand, which contained a transparent crystal cup.
"What's this?" He looked at the light brown liquid in the glass and frowned.
"Apple juice, I just squeezed it."
She smiled and put the glass of apple juice in front of him.
"There's nothing in your fridge. I'll go to the supermarket after work tomorrow and buy something. Otherwise, we won't have anything to eat at home tonight."
He looked at her. She had just taken a shower and was wearing a loose night dress. The nightdress in early summer was too thin to fit on her, revealing the outline of her figure.
"You still have work to do, so I'll go rest first."
Seeing that he did not speak, Emmy was worried that she would disturb him. She hurriedly retreated and carefully closed the door.
