"No… it's pointless, and I hope in the future we won't have this kind of conversation, especially not when my daughter is near us." Alvitr said in a stern and cold tone while she covered Elisa's ears so that she could hear without knowing that it was useless because no matter what she did, with her superhuman abilities as a Magician, all of her senses were heightened.
When everyone heard Alvitr's cold response all of them couldn't help but shiver in fear because her intent was clear, she doesn't want to talk about Felix when her daughter is around, and everyone took a mental note of that. So they all simply nodded their head quietly before changing the subject to ease Alvitr's anger.
"I apologize for my husband's ignorance, Lady Alvitr. But I do have to ask though, how has your life been ever since you left being a Noble?" The Queen asked with a curious gaze at first Elisa thought that she was being sarcastic by by implying that she was just a commoner because of her hatred because the Emperor had shown feelings towards her Mother, but it seemed that she was wrong as it sounded and looked that she was genuinely curious.
"Oh, well… I actually loved it thank you for asking me that, Yani. If I could actually go back to that kind of life, I would. But back to your question, I really loved it, and even though it was kind of tough because I was the only one taking care of everything, I enjoyed every single moment of it, especially the moments of taking care of Elisa. I would trade everything of what I have to get back to that." Alvitr said with a light smile as she looked at her friend with a gentle smile that made Elisa curious because of the way that the two were looking at each other, it was as if they were friends.
She was sure that when she saw Yani looking at her Mother there was definitely malice in her eyes at the thought of her husband getting shared by another woman, and this made her realize that Yani was just like her. A possessive person who won't let anyone touch what belongs to them, not even their closest friend.
"That's quite interesting, but knowing that you actually hate how Nobility works, it makes sense that you would rather want to be a commoner than a Noble. Your words are now tempting me also to do the same, care to show me around the town?" Yani said with a light smile on her face as she asked Alvitr if she would like to accompany her around the town while disguising themselves so they could look around everywhere they wanted.
Of course, a disguise was needed since they couldn't have the Queen just walk around like that, they needed to hide her identity or else she was going to get swarmed with hundreds of people in a matter of seconds.
"What? Do you want to tour around the town? But didn't you do that already, or maybe you're saying that you want to look around the town as a commoner and not a Noble?" Alvitr chuckled as she asked. She already fully knew the answer to her question, but she still wanted to hear it come out of Yani's mouth. But in reality, she was just teasing her.
"That's exactly what I want to do because living in the castle gets boring especially when most of my children are already grown up, they don't even like to spend some time with their old mother." Yani smiled as she looked at her three children who looked at her with embarrassed faces as they refused to look at her.
This action made everyone burst into laughter because everyone knew that all of the Queen's children were doted on by her causing them to be much closer to their Mother that resulted in them always wanting to get her attention and love, but when they grew up all of that changed as they matured. Of course, they still love their Mother very much but they control it.
"Fufufu… I can somehow relate to that especially when my little girl just wants to read all day. But don't you still have a grandchild? I remember that Lorein already got married just two years ago, right?" Alvitr laughed merrily while pinching Elisa's cheeks teasingly and looking at Yani's oldest child.
"I… well. Aunt Alvitr, we do not want to rush things. We want to take it slow, but we are already planning it. If you want to ask this question, you should ask Leo because he is already in a committed relationship, and it seems that he even wants to marry the girl…" Lorein said with a shy smile as she directed all of the attention away from her and toward her younger sibling completely throwing him under the bus.
There was another burst of laughter from everyone and just like that, the solemn and cold atmosphere just a few minutes ago all disappeared, and it was replaced with a merry atmosphere that went throughout even to the dinner. But for Elisa, everything was just some boring talk as she listened to all of them talk with each other, so she just stayed quiet.
Even when it was Dinner, she didn't utter a single word unless she had to when she was asked a question then she would speak up. But as she was eating, the Royal Family couldn't help but get impressed by how she ate in such an elegant way despite being in such a young age, but they didn't know that it was just her real self unconsciously coming out.
"Wow… at such a young age, your daughter can already speak and even present herself elegantly while remaining polite. It seems that she really takes after you, Aunt Alvitr…" Lorein said as she looked over Elisa before looking at her youngest sibling who was just the same age as her but was eating like a little child, though that was just normal, she couldn't help but think that he should learn from her.
"Well… I never actually taught her, it seems that she just got it by reading because just like I said earlier, she spends most of her time reading just about everything. It doesn't matter if it is boring, she will read it regardless, and I guess she found a book about etiquette and decided to copy it." Alvitr just chuckled before looking over at her daughter while also having the same thoughts as she never did really taught her as it seemed that it was just natural on her.
"Well isn't that quite nice then? If she got that by herself then that just means that she inherited that side from you because I still remember those days when you would rather want to stay inside the library instead of playing around like a normal kid." Yani laughed before handing Elisa a piece of meat and waited for her to take it because she somehow had the urge to feed her after hearing such a story.
It was especially easy since she was sitting beside her as well, but even though she had already offered her, Elisa just stared at it for a few seconds, and it was clear that she didn't trust Yani. But after a few seconds, she finally took a bite after seeing that there was no poison in the food. She was not stupid enough to take food from a stranger whom she just met a few hours ago especially when she felt hostility towards her.
"It seems that your daughter is also quite smart. She thought hard and deeply about whether to take my food and I don't even think that she did it because I was the Empress and that she was embarrassed… it seemed that she was checking if I poisoned the food. I like this little girl… Do you want to be my student? I can teach you about anything that you want." Yani said with pure interest in her eyes as she stared at Elisa before looking toward Alvitr to get her approval.
"What? You want to teach my daughter because she was being observant just now, and you even said to me that with your fiery temper, you didn't lash out because she literally suspected you of trying to poison her." Alvitr questioned as she immediately protected Elisa from Yani by wrapping her one hand around her this action of her caused Yani to laugh.
"If it were any other person then maybe I would have already hit them, but your daughter is quite special. Elisa's your name, right? If I'm correct which I already know that I'm right, you have Magic." Yani said with pure confidence which made everyone gasp in shock except for Elisa who only widened her eyes, especially when she saw pale blue flames appear in Yani's hand like Magic.
"You don't need to fool me, I felt your Mana when you were trying to check if I poisoned the food or not, but I actually felt that you were a Magician the very first time I met you. But you just didn't feel mine because I concealed it. Say... if you want to learn such tricks, I can teach you as long as you become my student, so how about it?"
