Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: The Treacherous Journey To Hell

Lia questions to herself: who on Earth was talking to me because I couldn't see anyone in the tree line? She just shrugs it off because it could be just her imagination, or she could just be hallucinating. Then, she hears a little girl giggle, but not in a creepy way. It makes her think of her late younger sister, Juliana.

"Juliana, is that you?" Lia asks, almost going into a sob.

The spirit does not respond, and Lia asks again if it was Juliana. The spirit responds but, it doesn't seem to understand.

"What do you mean by that, Lia? Of course it's me! Why would I ever deceive my older sister?" The spirit responds in a confused tone.

"Juliana, is that seriously you!? Oh my god, I thought I would never see you again!?" Lia said in a shocked and shaky tone of voice.

"I will always be here with you, no matter what circumstances we see each other. I promise that to you. I will always be in your heart forever and ever." Juliana said in a loving voice to the point it makes Lia cry happy tears.

While Finley was waiting to see Alicia Smith and for his fate, he felt the presence of two spirits. His heart was beating out of his chest because, he didn't know the spirits existed and he didn't know if he was going to die or if he was going to live but suffer for his crimes against the regime and against the country. The two spirits felt his heart racing and they didn't know how to help him in that moment.

"Finley, honey, you need to keep your heart from racing so fast because you are going to hyperventilate and pass out if you don't." The female spirit said in a loving and caring tone.

"Yeah son, you need to stay strong for your sister and for Canada because, they need you. Your twin needs you more at this moment because she's alone and trying to find you." The male spirit said in a determined and caring voice.

And the moment his parents' spirits talked to him, Alicia's advisor walks in.

"Hey kid, Alicia wants to see you now. Oh, don't do anything stupid because, William already does that." The lonely advisor said in a boring and monotone voice.

"Alright then." Finley states in a confused tone.

Finley walks into the vicious and cold-blooded totalitarian's office. He is shaking and breathing so fast that he could pass out at any minute. His conscience and intuition was telling him to turn around and run away from this place, yet he was frozen in fear and just walked towards Alicia and William. He finally sees why his conscience was telling him to turn and run away from the place.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. A traitor of the country and the regime." Alicia sneered in disgust. "I guess we can have a little fun with this traitor because, he's a special type of traitor."

Lia and Juliana started to walk again when someone started to follow them. Juliana looks around the tree line while Lia looks behind the trees and bushes to see if anyone would ambush them from behind.

"Hey Lia?" Juliana asks Lia. "Can you come over here because, this might be something that you can figure out easily."

"Sure! What is it-" Lia stops dead in her tracks and lets out a scream. "Juliana, that is Finley's flannel!? He must have gotten caught while I hid in the tree a few hours ago!?" Lia says in a frightened and fear-stricken tone.

"Lia, did you by any chance, get an intuition to hide in the tree or did you sense danger, like you usually do?" Juliana asks Lia in a questionable attitude.

Lia thinks to herself for a second. "I did, actually. And it was so strong that I couldn't ignore it."

Juliana then rolls her eyes and sighs in an exaggerated way. "And I bet you that Finley did but ignored it like usual. He seriously needs to learn that his intuition can help save his life and other people's lives."

Finley is waiting for someone to get him out of the prison cell that Alicia and William put him in after they both physically tortured him. Then the two spirits from a few hours ago show back up and try to comfort their son to the best of their abilities.

"Finley, hun, I know you are in pain, but you need to escape this awful place and find your sister." The female spirit said in a sad and calming tone.

"Wait, mom? Is that you?" Finley questioned the female spirit. "Because if it is, I need you."

"Yes Finley. It is me." Brigid said in the calmest voice that Finley has heard since her passing.

"Hey son, I'm here too, you know." The male spirit said in a joking tone.

"Murphy, Jesus Christ. Why do you have to be cracking jokes at a time like this?" Brigid asks Murphy in an annoyed tone of voice.

Murphy laughs. "Well, our son needs to laugh and that's how I cope with the trauma."

"Murphy, WE ARE FUCKING GHOSTS!? WE DON'T HAVE TRAUMA!?" Brigid yells in an agitated tone but it really wasn't in agitation, it was in an annoyed tone.

"Why do I still feel the pain of how we were killed then, Brigid?" Murphy questions in a sad and dark tone of voice that no one in the family has ever heard.

"I don't know why you do but, you shouldn't feel pain because you are not human anymore." Brigid said in a weird and distorted tone.

"How can you see me even though you guys are dead?" Finley asked in a shaky and confused tone of voice.

Finley and his parents talk for a while until, they get rudely interrupted by William walking to get Finley for interrogation to get information about his sister's whereabouts. William roughly grabbed Finley by his arm and shoulder and took him back to Alicia's office.

"Thank you for grabbing the special traitor from his cell for me, William." Alicia sneers at Finley and grabs him by his injured shoulder and makes him wince in pain.

"What do you want from ME!?" Finley yells out in pain. "I don't know what you want."

"You KNOW what I want, traitor. And I will not stop until you tell me what I want." Alicia said in an aggressive manner.

Just then, the door slams open. The stormtrooper that was guarding the door, collapsed to the floor, dead. Alicia starts screaming and William starts to freak out. All of a sudden, a small girl shows up from behind the stormtrooper and says, "Well you messed with the wrong set of twins."

"Lia, you're actually here!" Finley shouts in excitement.

"Come on, Finley! You're already untied, and you are free to come with me!?" Lia said in an excited yet uncertain tone.

"Coming!" That is all Finley had to say because both Alicia and William were standing in their place, frozen in shock and fear.

Lia and Finley were on the run again and they ran until they ran their bodies to the limit. They found a supposed cave and they rested for the night. During the night, the spirits of Juliana, Brigid, and Murphy watched over Lia and Finley so that Alicia and William won't surprise them while they are sleeping.

"Mama, do you think they would ever be truly free from this horrible government?" Juliana asks Brigid in a quiet yet concerned and questionable tone.

Brigid sighs and says to Juliana in a concerned and quiet tone, "I don't really know the answer to that question Juliana baby. I wish I did."
