Chapter 1 - Prologue

He loomed over me grinning like a fiend.

"This is going to be so much fun." He

growled.

My eyes darted around looking for anything

or anyone to help me, but every eye I met

refuses to meet mine and there was nothing

around us. The Masters had made sure of

that. All I had on my side was my wits and

minimal strength.

I looked back at him meeting his gaze with

what I hoped was a brave glare. He only

laughed harder as he pinned my wrists down.

"Come on don't be like that. If you give in you

may even enjoy it."

I didn't want to enjoy it. I wanted to kill him

and the masters and one day I would I just

had to get out of here first.

"Enjoy it you say?"

I cocked one eyebrow and mustered a smile.

"How would you make me enjoy it?"

As I had hoped he was happy to explain. I let

him ramble on about all the things he was

going to do to me while I tuned him out. I

didn't need to know how twisted his mind

was.

As he talked his grip started to loosen bit by

bit until I could lift my hand off the ground. I

waited a little longer. Once I could tell that he

was so deep into his scenario that he almost

forgot I was there. Then, I moved as quickly

as I could throwing him off of me, ripping my

hand out of his grip, and kicking him in the

jaw all at once. I took advantage of his shock

and jumped up trying to get away. I got all of

5 feet when I felt his hand on my shoulder.

"You shouldn't have done that. I could have

made this fun, but now…" he smiled with a

haunting look in his eyes "now you are going

to suffer more than you ever thought you

could."
