The city, visible through an alcove ahead of the carriage, was cast in an orange light, courtesy of the sun that stood low in the sky. It was, in a word, majestic. Like the armour of the soldiers here, the buildings were all primarily coloured in a pure white. They exited the gatehouse into a courtyard, filled with soldiers.
Most of the soldiers paid any heed to the carriage and carried on with their duties, although one or two were visibly surprised to see the colours of the Northern Guard. To the right of the carriage was a training area. To the left, a large staircase led up into the main body of the base.
In the alcove ahead of them was a large door, propped open by a pair of boulders. Behind the doorway was a small hill that lead into the city.
